WAND is actively seeking an accepting referrals from the community, healthcare and social care professionals.

Volunteers

We are looking for Volunteers to help with:

1). Digital literacy: 
Our aim is to help our service users to learn how to use computers.

General Concepts

• Basic Terms
• Types of Computers
• Anatomy of a PC
• How a PC Works

Hardware Devices

• Memory
• CPU/Processor
• Secondary Storage Devices
• How to Print
• Use of smart phones
• Use of different communication platforms to connect (zoom, Microsoft Teams…)

2). Social media:

We are looking for someone to help grow our online presence and keep our Facebook and Twitter accounts exciting and up-to-date.

• Schedule regular posts promoting our events, activities and services
• Respond to comments and mentions
• Grow our social media networks by connecting with and promoting relevant organisations, projects and events
• Respond to or pass any enquiries received via social media

Time commitment: Approximately two hours per week
