Celebrating 20 Years of WAND UK!

🎉 Celebrating 20 Years of WAND UK! 🎉

Last month, we marked a significant milestone as WAND UK turned 20! Founded in 2005, WAND UK is an independent charity dedicated to empowering and supporting women, girls and their families, especially those from vulnerable and marginalised communities across London, by providing advocacy, lifelong learning and health and wellbeing services. To commemorate this special occasion, we organised a wonderful celebration for our dedicated staff and volunteers.

🌟 WAND UK was delighted to be joined by Joe Powell, MP for Kensington & Bayswater, and Mona Adam, Councillor for Kensington & Bayswater, where Joe and Mona had the opportunity to meet and chat with our volunteers, staff and trustees, and Councillor Adam presented long-service awards. Our thanks to them both for being with us on this celebratory day.

🙏 A huge thank you to all our volunteers for their unwavering support and hard work over the years. A special thanks to Gladys, one of the WAND UK Founders, for her vision and leadership.
